So a trailer wiring harness is simply going to transmit the taillight circuits from the vehicle to our trailer to let other motorists out on the road know what signals we're going to be making so we can arrive to our destination safe, sound and legal. So this particular kit here comes with a four way or a four pole trailer connector. That's actually the most common universal and standardized connector. Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2019 Ram ProMaster 2500- Video
Today on our 2019 RAM ProMaster 2500, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with a 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector.So here's what our wiring's gonna look like once we have it installed. I do wanna mention that we decided to run our wire to the outside, that way it'll be close to our hitch so we can hook up easier, because it's designed to stay on the inside, and you run it out the cargo door. Our wiring's gonna provide us with a 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, so we have all the required lights to get down the road safely, like our tail lights, turn signals, and our brake lights.And if you do decide to run your wires to the outside, we can use the dust cover to keep the excess wire from dangling on the road or you can mount a 4-Pole Bracket for a more permanent solution. Our wiring is gonna be fuse protected and it is gonna use a powered tail light converter. And what that's gonna do is that it's gonna take the signal from our tail lights and transfer it into a working signal for our trailer. But it's also gonna protect our ProMaster from any problems that may arise in the trailer end and keep it from back-feeding back into the electrical system.So now that we've seen the end result, let's show you how to get it installed. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Ram ProMaster 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 Ram ProMaster 2500 we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Curt T Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with the Four Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Part number is C56209. Now this is what your kit's going to look like when you pull it out of your packaging. This is going to be the main part of the system here, that's our four pole flat trailer connector. This is going to allow us to plug in our running lights, left turn and brake and right turn and brake in our trailer, cargo carrier, whatever it is we might be hauling. Basically those signals are going to come into our converter box. This is going to convert it into a usable signal for our trailer. more
